Practice Makes Purpose

Practice Makes Purpose, written by Melissa Bernstein and Shiri Mund, is a guided workbook written to help you create your own well-being practice in order to unlock your full potential. Rooted in behavior science, the workbook guides the reader through daily habits, using text, testimonials, fun illustrations, and engaging exercises. The design process of this 184-page book was an intensive collaborative assignment and a crash course in how to digest hundreds of pages of complex ideas into digestible and fun content.

The design brief called for a quirky and approachable aesthetic, with a request for a hand-written font to capture the author’s unique voice and vibrant personality. We incorporated hand-drawn doodles throughout the book as a main design feature, and the book encourages the readers to do the same.

We extended the aesthetic of Practice Makes Purpose to a Powerpoint template for series of corporate workshops that are conducted by the authors via Zoom, giving corporations a hands-on experience with the practice.
